About the Position

The Director of Teaching and Learning is a member of the senior administrative team and reports directly to the Head of School.

Specific duties and responsibilities of the Director of Teaching and Learning include:

  • Provide leadership and work collaboratively with Department Chairs and Faculty in developing and implementing the educational program and strategic plan
  • Lead and coordinate a comprehensive curriculum review, development and implementation
  • Assist with data analysis regarding the effectiveness of educational programs and faculty/student performance
  • Manage the professional development budget
  • Lead faculty in development of and reflection upon their annual priorities through the Professional Growth and Evaluation Program
  • Assist department chairs and Assistant Head of School with hiring process
  • Conduct classroom observations
