Welcome Mark Crotty as New Partner

Educators Collaborative LLC will welcome Mark Crotty as the newest member of the company’s impressive roster of partners in Summer 2025, along with Percy L. Abram, Ph.D.

Mark is finishing his sixth year as the Executive Director of the Northwest Association of Independent Schools, a regional independent school association and an accreditation organization. Under Mark’s leadership, NWAIS has seen an impressive growth in professional development offerings as well as a continuation of its dynamic culture serving a diverse array of schools across a broad geographic area.

“Mark’s experience leading NWAIS will be an invaluable addition to EC and a boon to our clients,” says co-managing partner, Sally Mixsell. “I speak for all of the partners when I say we are honored to welcome Mark to our group; I look forward to learning from and collaborating with him to position schools for success through effective leadership.”

Mark is a seasoned independent school leader and highly respected mentor and guide. Before leading NWAIS, Mark served nine years as Head of St. John’s Episcopal School in Dallas, TX. Prior to that, Mark filled many different roles during his tenures at Greenhill School in Dallas and Episcopal School of Acadiana in Cade, LA. Mark has been active on several boards and professional organizations, and he is a prolific writer and presenter.

“I am excited and honored to be joining EC,” says Mark. “Along with the partners being such experienced and passionate independent school people, they take the ‘collaborative’ part of their name very seriously. EC works with schools in diverse ways, all of them important, and I embrace the joy of doing that.”

Mark holds a Master’s of Liberal Arts degree from Southern Methodist University and a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Allegheny College. Mark will be at the NAIS THRIVE Conference February 26-28 in Nashville and invites people to connect with him there as well as on LinkedIn.
