About the School
The Hanahau’oli School, serving 209 children from Pre-K through grade six, truly lives the mission of “Making learning exciting, challenging and enjoyable, and validating childhood and the way children learn as a foundation for life-long learning.”
Firmly rooted in the philosophy of John Dewey, Hanahau’oli serves students in multi-aged indoor and outdoor purpose-built classroom space, taking full advantage of the temperate climate and natural beauty of Hawaii.
Hanahau’oli prepares students to be self-aware, confident learners, who share a love of learning and experience success. After grade six, students are welcomed into highly selective independent schools, where they continue to thrive.
Hahahau’oli faculty are deeply committed to a child-centered mindset and highly skilled at adapting the learning environment to provide authentic and meaningful experiences for each child.
Truly living the spirit of Aloha, Hawaii’s diverse population shares a deep and proud history. A healthy balance of work and enjoyment of the many recreational and artistic opportunities the islands offer, the quality of life in Hawaii is exceptional.
