Jean G. Lamont

Jean-G-LamontJean Lamont’s experience in the field of education has ranged from teaching biology in an all-girls high school in Kenya as a Peace Corps volunteer to serving as the Head of The Foote School, CT, a position she held for twelve years. Prior to her headship at Foote, Jean held positions as an Admissions Officer and Middle School Division Head at the Allen-Stevenson School (NYC). She played an instrumental role in launching Early Steps, a collaborative program to recruit minority students for independent school kindergartens.

Jean holds a B.A. in Biology from Middlebury College and a Master’s in Educational Administration from Columbia University, Teachers College. She has served on the boards of independent schools and other not-for-profits where she has contributed her consulting services. Currently, she is trustee of the International Festival of Arts and Ideas in New Haven, CT.

Jean joined EC in 2008. In addition to head searches, she conducts searches for other senior administrative positions, and does strategic planning, executive coaching and governance work.
