Heronfield Academy is an independent day school in the New Hampshire Seacoast serving grades 6 through 8. Heronfield Academy was created to support, nurture, and teach middle school students. The middle school years are extremely important in the lives of young people. Those years are ones in which students are growing and developing in ways that are exciting and new, challenging and rewarding. Heronfield is a stand-alone middle school by design and while Heronfield Academy was founded on the Episcopal tradition, they welcome students of all faiths.

Heronfield Academy combines an academically challenging curriculum while simultaneously nurturing the Core Values of Honesty, Respect, Diligence, Celebration, and Caring. The focus of their work with middle school students is all about character education. At Heronfield Academy, students are asked to pause and really think about who they want to be as individuals and community members. As a school they are committed to providing time in their day to help students discuss their personal choices and to learn how to remain true to themselves. Small class sizes, individual attention and the importance of all the seemingly small conversations with students, are all hallmarks of the Heronfield experience.

The Board of Trustees seeks a permanent Head of School to begin July 1, 2018. Significant experience in a senior leadership position and outstanding personal qualities are required. An advanced degree is preferred.
