The Episcopal School, an early childhood program for boys and girls ages 2 ½ to 5 ½, is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The School is an independent non-sectarian The Episcopal School in The City of New Yorkinstitution neither governed nor subsidized by any church. In general The Episcopal School provides an environment for each child to grow and learn through a variety of traditional structured activities as well as free play experiences.

The curriculum is age appropriate and allows children to explore and develop skills through art, music, storytelling, dramatic play, creative movement and cooking. The program is further enhanced through weekly chapel that includes stories told in the Judeo-Christian tradition, field trips, interactive experiences and readiness activities in reading and math.

The Board of Trustees seeks a Director to begin July 1, 2016 with significant senior administrative and early childhood experience who supports the mission of the school and has strong personal qualities. Candidates interested in this position should submit a cover letter, a resume, a statement of educational philosophy, and a list of five references.
